The Virtual Launch of CL4STEM OERs by CL4STEM Partners in Bhutan

As part of the project objectives to Integrate OERs for TPCK and inclusive Education into the curriculum for initial/newly qualified teachers. The CL4STEM OERs modules were successfully launched virtually by the project partners in Bhutan on April 30, 2022. The Director General of the Ministry of Education’s Department of School Education, other MOE officials, Samtse Dzongkhag’s Education Officers, Principals, and STEM teachers from middle and high schools were among those who attended. Mr. Kuenzang Gyeltshen, the officiating President, launched the project with a welcome note emphasizing the importance of STEM teaching-learning and assessment. He also congratulated the STEM faculty members and expressed his best wishes for the project’s successful completion.

Dr. Reeta Rai, the CL4STEM project’s coordinator, then provided a summary of the project’s aims, objectives, and activities. She elaborated on how the experimental STEM in-service and pre-service STEM teachers’ professional development will be carried out in participatory and localized ecosystems through a virtual learning environment, Moodle, and Telegram chat. She also stated that upon successful completion of the open education resources (OERs), participants will be awarded certificates.
